Health and Wellness Report: What You MUST Know About Fish Oil

Does Your Omega 3 “Fish Oil” Supplement Actually Contain Fish Oil, Mercury or Something Else?

Mystery Ingredients
Fish Oil Pills

Don’t be hoodwinked…

Omega 3 is one of the critical supplements everyone should take to maintain optimal health.

It’s part of a group of Essential Fatty Acids (the good fats) that are important for a number of functions in the body, and literally the cornerstone that enabled humans to evolve as a species.

Yet unlike most of the other fats that we need for “essential” health, our bodies can’t make Omega 3 on its own.

We’re forced to get it from our diet.

The only problem is our diets are rich in highly processed foods prepared with polyunsaturated (trans-fat) cooking oils.

Which is why most people take an Omega 3 Fish Oil supplement. Not only to get the much needed Omega 3 but to balance out all the polyunsaturated fats in our diets.

But the only problem is…

Most Fish Oil Supplements Are “Snake Oil” And Don’t Contain What They Promise…

They Are FILLED With Hidden Health Hazards!

On the outside, all fish oil looks the same. But it’s what’s on the inside that counts the most. After all that’s what’s going into your body and bloodstream.

Which is why you need to beware of these 4 hidden health hazards

Snake Oil

Hidden Health Hazard #1

What ocean does the fish that
go into your supplement come from?

Pacific Ocean

Beware…

Mercury levels in the northern Pacific Ocean have risen about 30% over the past 20 years and are expected to increase by an additional 50% by 2050 as industrial mercury emissions increase, according to a 2009 study led by researchers at the U.S. Geological Survey and Harvard University.

Ingesting even small amounts of a highly toxic substance that can cause impaired neurological development, poor fetal development, neurological damage, cognitive impairment, attention and learning disorders, and many others.

The vast majority of the fish supply in the Pacific is now heavily tainted with industrial toxins and pollutants, such as heavy metals which include mercury, lead, arsenic, cadmium, PCBs, and radioactive poisons.

These toxins make eating fish no longer recommended. About the only exception are wild-caught Alaskan salmon and very small fish like sardines.

Hidden Health Hazard #2

Farm raise fish can be even WORSE…

Many fish oil supplement companies avoid catching fish in the wild and choose to raise them on fish farms in order to save money.

But, as the old saying goes, you are what you eat

Farm raised fish are fed GMO Corn and Soy based meal along with High-protein feed pellets to increase their size. The bigger the fish, the more oil they can get out of them.

As a result, farmed salmon only have about half of the Omega 3 levels of wild fish.

In the wild, bigger fish eat smaller fish that are high in EPA and DHA (the most important part of a fish oil supplement) — the beneficial, long-chain Omega 3 fatty acids, which get their natural DHA from Algae, and other fish that eat algae.

Farm Raise Fish

Hidden Health Hazard #3

Fish oil oxidizes and goes rancid
right inside the capsules…

Rancid

Fish oil capsules contain highly unsaturated DHA and EPA. Which is why they are so important to our diets and health. But…

Unfortunately, the less saturated an oil is, the more unstable it is and the more quickly it degrades. This is why fish go bad so fast when you don’t eat fresh fish right away.

Health risks associated with rancid fish oil includes increased risk of atherosclerosis and thrombosis (in other words, hardening of the arteries and increased blood clotting.)

And lower quality fish oil can turn rancid right inside the supplement capsule if certain manufacturing process and other conditions are not met.

Hidden Health Hazard #4

You’re being LIED to about
the levels of DHA and EPA you need…

Fish oil dosage can be a very confusing subject.

However, the standard dose of fish oil is NOT enough to produce the real benefits available from Omega 3, but first…

What do you need to know about EPA and DHA?

DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is an unsaturated structural fatty acid that is a key component of the brain, nervous system and eyes and is critical for vision, heart and cognitive brain health.

EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) is another kind of unsaturated fatty acid, which supports healthy inflammation response and helps maintain normal levels of triglycerides (a type of fat found in your blood that the body uses for energy).

These fatty acids are Omega 3 fats, (the good fats) that are found in cold water fish.

The U.S. Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recommends 500mg of EPA and DHA each and everyday.

But… that standard dosage of EPA and DHA is NOT enough?

Research conducted at Harvard in 2009, concluded that up to 96,000 preventable deaths in the U.S.A. every year are caused by an Omega 3 deficiency[1], so even the 500mg recommendation is not being reached by enough people, it’s actually estimated that in the U.S.A. the average daily intake of Omega 3 is just 100mg per day[2], that’s why health experts recommend 500mg of EPA and DHA…

Because it’s the MINIMUM level, based on the average dietary deficiency.

This is NOT the amount you need for proactive support, just the amount to avoid deficiency!

But at the proper dosage…

And from a sustainable source, with the right purity and refinement…

Omega 3 Could Be
“The Faith of Youth”

That is a bold statement, and…

Omega 3 can have profound effects on your ability to learn, your joints, skin, hair, vision, mental health, and can even help protect your heart against life-threatening chronic diseases.

It also may lower your bad cholesterol and even boost fertility. Plus, it’s an anti-inflammatory.

Some do call it a “Fountain of Youth” because it’s found in nature and is know to help with so many different conditions like…

  • Heart Health – Lowering Bad Cholesterol And Reducing The Risk of Heart Disease
  • Lowering High Blood Pressure
  • Cognitive Health – Mental Clarity And Reduced Risk of Alzheimer’s
  • Joint Health – Calming Inflammation Throughout The Body
  • Eye Health – To Combat Dry Eyes and Macular Degeneration
  • Emotional Wellness – Relieving Depression
  • Preserving Muscle Mass As You Age / And Muscle Recovery
  • Increase Energy
  • Dry Eyes
  • And Much, Much More…

Doctors are still learning all of the benefits that Omega 3 provides.

But the key is you need to take

Omega 3 Benefits

The Right Kind of Fish Oil

Ultra Pure Omega 3 2

Not all fish oil is the same…

Some fish oils brands get their Omega 3 from a lower quality Ethyl Esters (EE’s) which are artificially created in a laboratory by breaking the bond between the fatty acids and their glycerol backbone.

The problem is that, Ethyl Esters must be broken down in our bodies differently than a higher quality fish oil that costs more to produce.

The enzymes within your body must do the work to remove the ethanol bond from the fatty acid in the Ethyl Ester oil, and then attach it to other dietary glycerol in your body to form a Triglyceride (which are how fats are normally stored in the body) only then can you start to feel the benefits but…

This means Ethyl Esters are not fully absorbed and less effective in your body because they need to be converted.

The more natural form of Omega 3 in fish[3], are Triglycerides, which contain 3 fatty acids attached to a glycerol backbone. A fatty acid being a molecule of EPA or DHA which are the 2 main Omega 3 fatty acids that you need for optimal health.

In one study, fatty acids from Triglyceride fish oils were 400% better absorbed than Ethyl Esters[4].

So… How do you know if your Omega 3 supplement is made from Ethyl Esters?

You can look at the bottle, except…

Most of the time, the label won’t tell you, But… if it doesn’t specifically say it’s Triglyceride then it’s an Ethyl Ester.

Or you can…

Take The Omega 3, Ten Minute Cup Test

  1. First you’ll need a styrofoam cup.
  2. Just flip it upside down.
  3. Cut open or poke a hole in about one to three fish oil capsules and pour the oil onto the top of the cup.

If it’s made from Ethyl Ester, then it will EAT a HOLE right through the cup in about 10 minutes!!! In fact you should start seeing it eat away in as little as 2 minutes.

Watch the video demonstration of the Ten Minute Cup Test below using Intelligent Labs Ultra Pure Omega 3 Fish Oil, which is made from high quality Triglyceride vs. a leading store bought brand made from Ethyl Esters.

Watch This Video

As You Can Plainly See, The Natural
Triglyceride Is The Better Choice…

And… each capsule of Intelligent Labs Ultra Pure Omega 3 Fish Oil, contains a minimum of 75% Omega 3 fatty acids from naturally formulated fish oil to ensure maximum absorption and benefit in your body.

Plus Ultra Pure Omega 3 Fish Oil is proven to be 70% More Effective than artificial Ethyl Ester Fish Oil[5]

But… It’s not just the right kind of fish oil, what also matters is

The Right Amount of DHA & EPA

Omega 3 Proactive

Just enough EPA and DHA (500mg) to satisfy the U.S. Omega 3 deficiency and prevent the 96,000 U.S. deaths every year…

…is NOT enough to produce the REAL benefits available from Omega 3 Fish Oil…

500mg is the MINIMUM level based on the average dietary deficiency…

This is NOT the amount you need for proactive support.

A better dosage would be:

  • 2.7 Grams to reduce inflammation levels associated with autoimmune conditions such as arthritis, crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and lupus erythematosis.
  • Coronary heart disease, depression, and even cancer are also all characterized by an increase in inflammation.

2.5 Grams will reduce the Omega 6:3 ratio down to low levels of cellular inflammation.

You see, our modern diets contain huge amounts of Omega 6. It is found in almost EVERYTHING, from corn oil, soy oil, canola oil and even sunflower oil, it’s very hard to eat without over consuming Omega 6.

The problem is that Omega 6 is pro-inflammatory, while Omega 3 is an anti-inflammatory. So there’s an internal battle inside your body unless you balance it out with Omega 3.

We recommend a daily serving of 2250mg of Triglyceride fish oil containing: 1224mg of EPA and 816mg of DHA per serving for FULL Proactive Support at an EPA:DHA ratio of 3:2 (Which is supplied in 3 grams of fish oil.)

You will NOT find this strength of Omega 3, with this high a DHA content that is made from Triglycerides anywhere else.

Ultra Fresh Black Bottle Purity

Pure Product

One thing you’ll notice right away about Ultra Pure Omega 3 Fish Oil is the BLACK BOTTLE.

Why Black?

Because light can potentially damage fish oil, causing it to degrade through oxidation and turn rancid right inside the capsule.

Light CANNOT penetrate our black bottle so the precious fish oil inside is completely protected.

In fact, we also completely control the exposure of the fish and the oils from light, oxygen and temperature throughout the entire manufacturing process at every step, not just the bottle, to ensure that our fish oil reaches you in perfect condition from an IFFO and GOED registered facility…

And it is also molecularly distilled in a GMP and FDA registered facility, and independently third party tested to ensure it is free of all contaminants, PCBs, heavy metals and dioxins.

Plus because of our extensive ultra purity process and also in part to natural tocopherols, (vitamin E) that are added as an additional antioxidant, our fish oil is kept completely fresh and pure all the way to the bottle and into your body…

So pure, that you CAN’T taste it

Our black bottle purity and natural lemon zest oil that is added to each and every capsule, removes any fishy aftertaste, which means… NO FISH BURPS.

But the real secret is this…

Small Fish Big Impact

100% Natural

We ONLY use Wild caught Mackerel, Anchovy and Sardine from the pristine waters of the Antarctic for the purest and most concentrated fish oil because these waters are FREE of industrial toxins and pollutants.

Which are 100% sustainably sourced and fully supported and backed by The Friends of the Sea, a non-profit, non-governmental organisation (NGO), whose mission is the conservation of the marine habitats that are NOT overexploited.

Remember, you are what you eat…

And… Not all fish get their DHA from the same place…

Unlike farm raised fish that are forced to eat GMO corn and high-protein pellets in order to stuff the fish and the pockets of other fish oil supplement companies…

Wild caught Mackerel, Anchovy and Sardine naturally and sustainably sourced from the pristine waters of the Antarctic, eat smaller fish that are high in EPA and DHA, (the most important part of fish oil) which get their DHA from natural algae, and other fish that eat algae.

Plus wild caught fish from the pristine waters of the Antarctic are…

100% Safe and All Natural

So far, you’ve discovered three critical facts…

  • FACT #1: Your body CAN’T produce Omega 3 on it’s own. You NEED to get it from an outside source.
  • But… food alone CAN’T supply what you need to be proactive. Even if you were buying fresh caught fish from safe waters, free of toxins, you wouldn’t be able to eat enough.
  • FACT #2: The minimum level of Omega 3 is NOT ENOUGH for proactive support.
  • FACT #3: Omega 3 NEEDS to be part of your regular everyday regimen, like a daily vitamin.

So the question now becomes… how do you get the right Omega 3 free of any contamination, untainted and at the right dosage into your body?

The answer is simple…

Ultra Omega 3 Pure

Easy to swallow, no fishy burps or aftertaste

By MamaNanaNurse on January 15, 2016

This is one of the best Fish Oil/Omega 3 supplements that I have tried. They are easy to swallow, don’t leave any aftertaste, and I don’t get any fishy burps after taking them (which is HUGE for me!) I really don’t like to eat much fish, but I know that it is really good for me. Therefore, I take fish oil supplements. I really hate taking some of your lesser quality oils because I can’t stand the nasty fish burps or aftertaste. I don’t get any of that with these. I do wish that you didn’t have to take so many to get the required daily dose. I received this product at a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I did adjust my rating based on the fact that you have to take 3 pills per day. I hate taking pills!

Started taking this product about a month and a half ago. Since then my knee problem seems to
have improved to where I now have less pain and better mobility than before.

Ultra Pure Omega 3 FAQs

Q: How many capsules are there in the bottle?
A: There are 120 capsules in each bottle

Q: Why is the servings size 3 capsules?
A: Each capsule contains 1000mg of Omega 3, so to get the full, daily recommended dose of 3000mg of Omega 3 with 2400mg of
EPA/DHA you need to take 3 capsules.

Q: What kind of fish oil is used?
A: We use wild caught Mackerel, Anchovy and Sardine from the pristine, deep waters of the Antarctic.

Q: is this 5 star IFOS rated
A: Yes, We pass all IFOS 5 star safety levels by a significant margin as well as other organizations such as GOED, CRN, The WHO
and the European Pharmacopeia. However, we are not currently registered with IFOS, simply because it is very costly to do so, and
as a small family run business we currently don’t have the marketing budget.

We test our fish oil at our manufacturing base and at an independent 3rd party laboratory, using exactly the same tests as IFOS
use. You can see our test results as an image on our product page, or if you would like more details please email us through the
Amazon email system.

Q: what is the source of gelatin in the capsule?
A: It’s bovine gelatin, so made from beef.

Q: I see no allergen statement on the bottle. Is this product gluten and dairy free? Is it produced in a facility which processes
gluten & dairy items?

A: Our omega 3 is completely gluten and dairy free. The facility itself also produces some whey protein products, but it is a GMP
certified facility, so the production of each product is kept completely separate.

Q: Does this contain flaxseed or soy?
A: Our omega 3 doesn’t contain Flax seed. It doesn’t contain whole soy either, however, the mixed natural tocopherols which are
the antioxidant part of vitamin E are extracted from soybeans. The tocopherols are necessary to stop the delicate omega 3 fatty
acids from oxidizing.

The vast majority of the brands in the omega 3 industry will use tocopherols extracted from soy, although there may be some that
extract them from wheat or highly refined palm oil. Neither are better options in our opinion. If you 100% have to avoid anything to
do with soy, make sure you find out from a manufacturer exactly where their tocopherols come from, as many companies in the
industry are not keen to divulge their exact ingredients.

Q: Are these enterically coated?
A: No, they are not enterically coated. The reason we don’t enterically coat our fish oil is because it makes them less effective. Fish
oil absorption starts in the stomach where approximately 10% of the fatty acids are absorbed, then the rest are absorbed quickly
in the small intestine after emulsification in bile released from the liver. Enterically coating the fish oil prevents this happening
efficiently, and causes more of the the fatty acids to pass through the small intestines without being absorbed. In other words your
body gets less omega 3 from enterically coated fish oil.

Usually companies will enterically coat because they are using cheaper quality fish oil. One of the side effects with cheaper quality
fish oil is fishy burps, and enterically coating the oil will reduce this happening. However, when you use high quality fish oil as we
do, fishy burps is very rare, so we don’t need to. These companies will market enteric coating as a benefit, but it’s not. Enterically
coating is a big advantage for probiotics where you want the probiotics to get through the small intestine to the large intestine
alive and well, but not for fish oil.

Q: Is this tested by a 3rd party?
A: Our omega 3 is tested in 2 labs, at the manufacturers and by a 3rd party so we can verify both results to absolutely make sure
we are selling the best omega 3 possible.

If you have any more questions please let us know.

Q: Why does it say polyunsaturated fat 0 grams ? all omega 3’s are types of polyunsaturated fat including epa, dha, ala?
A: yes you are completely right! It’s a mistake on the image, thank you for noticing it.

Q: what is the mercury content in each capsule?
A: Our last 3rd party test was less than 0.005 micro-grams per capsule, according to our manufacturer it’s 1 part per billion.

Q: Where are the capsules made and packaged?
A: They are made in the USA.

Q: Does this product contain ALA?
A: Each serving of 3 capsules contains 210mg of ‘other omega 3’ fatty acids which will include some ALA. However, we don’t
specifically test for ALA levels. Fish oil is primarily for EPA and DHA. If you are specifically looking for ALA, I would suggest trying
a vegetarian omega 3 supplement such as flax seed.

Q: Where are the oils sourced? Which ocean? Which fish?
A: They are sourced from the Antarctic Ocean off the coast of Chile.

Q: Is your fish oil ok for people with gout?
A: yes it’s fine. Our fish oil contains no purines or protein.

Q: So what is the correct % of saturated, mono-unsaturated and trans fat (if any)?
A: There are no saturated, mono-unsaturated or trans fats. Omega 3’s are polyunsaturated fats. 3G total fat. Has 0 sat, 0 mono,
0 mono. Which has to mean it’s a poly unsaturated fat. Omega-3,s total 2250mg with 1224mg EPA, 816mg DHA, and 210mg other
omega 3 fatty acids. No fish burps n largest dose in a capsule that I’ve been able to find.

Q: Does this product contain Vesisorb or similar ingredient to aid absorption?
A: No it doesn’t. We recommend taking omega 3 with a meal to aid absorption.

Q: How large are the capsules?
A: Each capsule is 27mm long and 9mm in diameter.

Q: Does it have a fishy taste? (Or does it Cause burps that taste like fish?)
A: The pills themselves don’t have a fishy taste. If you take them on an empty stomach and lie down, you might get mild fishy
burps, but they are far less severe than I have experienced with any other fish oil supplement.

Q: Which fish are the oils taken from?
A: we use wild caught Mackerel, Anchovy and Sardine from the Antarctic. So if you have a specific mackerel allergy, I would
suggest you try another brand.

Q: Is this product molecularly distilled? Has this been purified through molecular distillation?
A: Yes, our fish is molecularly distilled for purity.

Q: Can these be cut in half?
A: They are not hard tablets they are soft gels so if you were to cut it the contents would leak out. So no.

Q: is this product pcb tested?
A: Yes, it is pcb tested, this is the best, it will give a pick up after great workout!

Q: How does it compare with PRN de dry eye omega? Also, is it cheaper to buy in quantity?
A: Both PRN and Intelligent labs come in the superior triglyceride form. However, Intelligent labs has more omega 3 per capsule.
For example we have 750mg of omega 3 per capsule, whereas PRN has 668mg per capsule. They have have 420mg EPA, whereas
we have 405mg EPA, but they only have 140mg DHA whereas we have 270mg DHA. PRN is also more expensive.

Q: Is the soy used GMO?
A: No soy in them.

Q: Why not just state the strength per capsule?
A: Per Capsule it’s 410 mg EPA, 270mg DHA and 70mg other omega 3’s.

Q: Does it help with dry eyes?
A: Yes, meant opticians specifically recommend, and sell on our behalf, Intelligent Labs Omega 3 specifically for dry eyes.

Q: When should I take the Omega 3?
A: We recommend taking our Omega 3 either shortly before or with meal.

Q: How do I store the Omega 3?
A: It’s best to store the bottle in a cool place out of direct sunlight. The refrigerator is perfect, or a cool cupboard.

Q: How much Omega 3 should I take?
A: Historically humans would have consumed a minimum of 2-5 grams (2000 – 5000mg) of Omega 3 per day. Ideally this should be
from our diets, the best sources being wild caught fish and eggs. However, most foods we eat today have a much lower Omega 3
content due to farming or fish and animals and grain as opposed to natural feeding, which is why we recommend 3 capsules
supplementation a day.

Athletes that are training hard may need to take more than 5 grams per day to ensure maximum recovery and endurance
enhancement.

Q: Want to know something else?
A: Then shoot us a message at sales@intelligent labs or via our contact page and we’ll get right back to you.
